Fusion of asymmetrical DnB and melodic techno, the second and last double-sided single in front of miss u goes through “Impulse” and “Vengeance”.
“Impulse & Vengeance are both energetic tracks driven by melody and broken beats.
Impulse stands for euphoria and the range of emotions that can overwhelm you on the dance floor. It’s a melodic juke track that’s as at home at sunrise on the last day of the festival as it is in the club with a smashing PA system. I felt hopeful and excited about the future as I wrote this in lockdown. Impulse is defined as a sudden, strong, thoughtless urge or desire to act or move.
Vengeance is an energetic 140 jungle track packed with arpeggios, classic drum samples and layered keys. As a pianist, I had fun putting the different layers of this piece together and breaking them down again. The rolling bass line ties it all together and is meant to be played loud. – The librarian
