The most recent episode of Drag Race UK saw the contestants greeted by a male model named Mickey, inspired by EastEnders star Danny Dyer.
Rita Ora has reportedly been replaced by a model after allegedly canceling her appearance in the second season of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK.
The 30-year-old singer was slated to appear on the popular BBC series, but reportedly stepped down at the last minute, leaving producers little time to reserve another famous face.
According to reports, Rita was absent after an alleged argument over her entourage.
Due to strict coronavirus filming restrictions, Drag Race bosses have decided to fill Rita’s spot with a model named Mickey.
The character was inspired by EastEnders star Danny Dyer, who stars as Mick Carter in the BBC soap opera.
Mickey had a lot to say about the latest contestants’ challenge – which just happened to be EastEnders themed.
“Everyone on set was expecting Rita to arrive but, when she didn’t show up, the producers had to use their heads and came up with the idea of decorating a model,” said an insider.
The source continued to The Sun: “Surprisingly, it worked well and became a running joke.”
A representative for Rita Ora declined to comment on these claims when contacted by The Mirror.
Meanwhile, it has been reported that Rita is completely overhauling her image as she plans to put her roaring twenties behind and even plans to have her tattoos lasered off now that she’s left her twenties behind.
In a recent interview in Australia – where she shoots The Voice – the hitmaker lifted the veil on why she was partying for good.
She told Ash London Live in Australia: “I feel like as soon as you turn 30 the next day everything changes.
“You start to feel like you have wrinkles, like your joints are aching. I can’t do what I used to do anymore.
“I can sing better, not lose my voice so much. Why do you always scream when you go out?” she added.
