Nigel Hall announced the release of his new studio album Spiritual, today, July 16. The Grammy-winning artist brought a lot of talent to this release; including Patrice Rushen, Marcus King, Ryan Zoidis and Jeff Coffin.
The 14-song album was recorded in Richmond, Va., At Jellowstone Studios, and exudes Hall’s creative control and deep honesty. Hall exudes a focus on connecting to his deepest self as he unleashes his personal style of R&B and old-school jazz-tinged funk throughout the album and through his collaborations.
âI feel like every artist makes a record in their career for themselves,â Hall said. âThis one is for me. I feel like if no one hears this record, I will still be able to sleep at night because I know there is something real in the world that I put on it.
The accomplished singer, keyboardist and studio musician also said that aside from his children, the record is his greatest pride to date.
Spiritual is available as a digital download and on vinyl.
