Maren Morris announces her third studio album

humble quest arrives March 25

Maren Morris recorded her third studio album, humble questfor March 25 CD and LP through Columbia Nashville. The country superstar shared the news via social media on Thursday (January 13) along with photos of the album packaging and track listing.

“Turns out this pandemic has humbled me,” Morris wrote in a one-page essay included in the album’s liner notes. “Shooting me one too many times humbled me, the death of a beloved friend and producer humbled me, motherhood and marriage humbled me. ‘Humble’ started to sound more like to a grounded state of self-understanding; not so much in being accessible to all or understood by all. What I also discovered was that the songs I was able to compose at that time had the most authentic lyrics and lightest things that ever flowed from my pen. They weren’t right for the time, they distracted and ultimately saved me. from the temperature.”

The project includes his latest single, “Circles Around This Town”, which was released last week. The album is produced by Greg Kurstin.

The album follows his critically acclaimed 2009 album Daughter, which broke the record for the biggest first week streaming ever for a country album by a woman, with 23.96 million streams in its first week.
