Makthaverskan singles “This Time” announce their album “För Allting”

The last time we heard from Swedish punk band Makthaverskan, they caught the attention of American indie fans with their 2017 LP, III. Back with a new atmospheric single, Makthaverskan officially announces his next studio album.

Makthaverskan’s single “This Time”, inspired by Joy Division, kicks off the new musical era of the Gothenburg band. This is the first look at their fourth LP For Allting, which was registered just a month before the lockdown in 2020.

In a statement about the new album, Makthaverskan said they aim to take their sound in a “new direction” on the upcoming project:

“When we started the songwriting process for this album, I think we were all pretty determined to take the music in a new direction. Not necessarily that we would sound ‘different’, but to work on the songs using somewhat different methods than before. For our previous albums, we wrote the songs in our rehearsal space and practically recorded them as they were. For this album, we wanted the songs to be finalized in the studio in a another place and we left a little more room to work.
