This week on WWE The bump, Los Lotharios (Angel & Humberto) made a studio appearance to discuss their newly-formed team and the direction they are taking on SmackDown. They opened the conversation about how their partnership came about and who persuaded who to grow from individual competitors to a collective team.
“I was trying to convince him [Humberto] to tag. He was like, ‘No, I have to continue to be the babyface; it’s funny.’ Now that we’ve hugged, it’s like the next level, ”Angel said.
Humberto then added: “Yes, I have to admit it: I was on the wrong track.”
Having won singles gold in the past, Los Lotharios agree it’s time for a new era to begin in SmackDown, and what better way to start it than by becoming the next Tag Team Champions. Certainly that day will come, but right now Los Lotharios are taking small steps to capture not only the Blue Beacon titles, but everyone else as well.
“We want to keep the gold! Humberto asserted.
“No matter what gold, we’ll keep some,” Angel continued. “Believe me; we have to walk before we run. We know the way, we know the opponents, we know the champions. So we have to go step by step. At the end of our road, we will have all the gold. on the waist.
Despite many similarities between current SmackDown Tag team champions The Usos and Los Lotharios – being generational talents and facing pressure to live up to their family’s legacy – Angel mentioned that without Roman Reigns in their corner, The Usos can’t hold a candle to what Angel and Humberto can do in the ring.
“If you have the Usos and Roman [Reigns], you just have to do one thing: get Roman away from Usos. They are nothing to us, ”Angel said of how helpless the Usos are without Reigns.
Before concluding their interview, the panel read a question submitted by a fan. This fan asked, “How does it feel working on Friday Night SmackDown after spending almost two years on Monday Night Raw?” Los Lotharios closed their segment by saying the blue brand has been a breath of fresh air for them both, and they are eagerly awaiting all the expanded opportunities they never received on Raw.
“Yeah, SmackDown is awesome. The environment has changed, but it feels good to be on SmackDown, ”Humberto said at first. “We learned a lot on Raw, but now we have to change a bit. But it’s fun. New adversaries [are helping] we learn and build our own path.
“[The] The big difference for me in doing Friday Night SmackDown is that it’s way better than Monday Night Raw, ”arguably said Angel. “They are two completely different environments. I appreciate it very much !
