Booming Connecticut Quartet Egg has published Nashville Bandsa pair of new singles recorded at 1979 Workshop in Nashville, TN and packaged as a double-sided tape.
In the middle of a national tour with Spafford last fall, Eggy made a stop in Nashville for a recording session at 1979 Workshop with a 5-time Emmy Award-winning engineer Matt Rifino. On “Broken Bluff” (A-Side), guitarist Jake Brownstein put down his ax and settle down comfortably behind the piano, howling with a melancholy air. On the cathartic and ethereal “Evergreen”, drummer Alex Bailey handles primary voice duties as Dani Battat (keys) and Mike Goodman (bass) excel beyond their instruments, highlighting the ability for finely tuned four-part harmony that sets Eggy apart from the pack.
In keeping with the retro aesthetic of the project, Eggy released a limited run of Nashville Bands on cassette in partnership with PHILM. All Nashville Bands cassette purchases come with a digital download of the track. Buy Eggy Nashville Bands tape here while supplies last.
