Bryan Griffin, Governor Ron DeSantis’ deputy press secretary revealed that “The View” may actually want to hear from the Florida governor on Monday.
After the ABC talk show once again lambasted DeSantis, Griffin retweeted a clip revealing that they had in fact reached out for a proposed guest appearance.
“@TheView emailed our office on Friday asking us to arrange an appearance for Governor DeSantis on the show. ‘We would be honored,’ they wrote. Griffin tweeted.
Fox News Digital obtained footage from the email showing supervising talent producer Todd Polkes reaching out to DeSantis’ media team on Friday.
‘THE VIEW’ HOST SLAMS DESANTIS FOR DRAG FOCUS, SAYS KIDS DIDN’T DIE OF ‘EXPOSURE TO DRAG QUEENS’
“I hope you are having a great summer. I am reaching out to invite Governor Ron DeSantis to be our special guest on THE VIEW next season, which begins September 6. We would be honored to have him join us in the studio a day in the fall,” Polkes wrote.
He added: “It will only be weeks before the midterm elections and THE VIEW is a great place to remind millions of people what is at stake in the election. As a women’s TV show the largest and most influential, our show has the potential to reach millions of female voters across the country on television and social media.”
The message continued: “We will likely have a new conservative host joining us at this time in addition to Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin and Sara Haines, bringing even more attention to THE VIEW. They are very concerned about issues such as the economy, the environment, abortion and the right to vote.”
“Please let me know if we can chat, happy to talk on the phone as well,” he concluded.
REPUBLICANS “ABANDON” THE MAINSTREAM PRESS, THE MEDIA CRIES
“The View” has frequently attacked DeSantis and his politics since becoming a prominent figure in the Republican Party. In April, the panel slammed DeSantis for “punishing” Disney by stripping the company of its self-governing status after he voiced opposition to the parental rights in education bill.
In September, co-host Joy Behar suggested DeSantis was putting “political ambitions” above child safety by banning mask mandates in schools.
“He should be criminally responsible for this,” Behar said. “You are actually committing negligent homicide when people die on your watch.”
DeSantis has meanwhile repeatedly criticized mainstream media efforts to smear him and his administration.
“I’m not deterred by the vilifications of this legacy media,” DeSantis insisted in June.
Fox News Digital reached out to “The View” for comment but did not immediately receive a response.

In December, a Politico report claimed the show was struggling to find a replacement conservative co-host following the departure of Meghan McCain. Sources close to the show told Fox News Digital on Tuesday that Alyssa Farah Griffin, who served in the Trump administration as White House director of strategic communications, has been cast as the new host. Despite Griffin’s stance under Trump, however, she has been a vocal critic of the former president and Republicans.
