On Friday, multi-platinum, Grammy Award-winning band Casting Crowns released a new studio album, “Healer. This album follows the band’s 2018 release, “Only Jesus,” which delivered two No. 1 radio singles as well as RIAA Gold certification for the title track and RIAA Platinum certification for “Nobody.”

The band’s team said, “Writing songs as proclamations of faith is a cornerstone of Casting Crowns’ career, and this new album is no different. “Healer,” while sonically diverse, highlights one main idea: the need for Jesus, the healer, to be at the center of our lives, which the title track makes clear. »

Singer Mark Hall said: “The whole point of this song is that healing won’t come from the people we vote for or the people we follow on screens. It will only come from Jesus. He is the healer.

Listening to the album, it’s clear that the intention of the band is to show that healing comes in different colors and sizes – and it’s not always about physical healing but also about spiritual healing. Inspired by a Mark 2 story, Hall wrote “Anything But Easy,” a song about bringing our loved ones to Jesus no matter the obstacle or the circumstances.

“The healing that we pray for in people’s lives, God can say, ‘I’m ready to heal their hearts, but I’m going to do it through the way you love them,'” Hall said. question I wonder. Do I love my friend enough to get over the embarrassment or push him away and not want to hear it, so he gets the truth? »

To celebrate the new album, the band is launching a “Fan Card”, which will allow listeners to see where they rank overall among other Casting Crowns listeners. A first of its kind in the Christian genre, listeners can Click here to create your personalized card.

In support of the new album, Compassion International will present Casting Crowns “The Healer Tour” with We Are Messengers and Jonathan Traylor starting next month. Tickets can be purchased from Casting Crowns website.
