John 5 on Dave Mustaine’s appearance in the song “Qué Pasa”: “It was a complete honor”

ROB ZOMBIE guitarist John 5 will release his new solo album, “Sinner”, Friday October 29 (just in time for Halloween) via Large machine disks. The first single from the album, the epic “Qué Pasa”, revolves around a distinctive vocal refrain. Originally built with a sample, John chose to have it reworked by Grammy-winner MEGADETH leader Dave mustaine.

Talk to Detroit WRIF front radio station ROB ZOMBIEyesterday’s performance (Saturday September 18) Riff Festival at the DTE Energy Music Theater in Clarkston, Michigan, John 5 said about Mustaine‘s with the track: “It was a complete honor. Because there was a James brown [sample] in there, and it’s quite difficult to surpass James brown. Corn Mustaine, it was just perfect because he has that growl, that voice. I mean, the delivery was epic, and I’m super excited and super honored to have him on the track. “

“I love these instrumental songs with cool vocal hooks or it could be something like that,” he continued. “It makes him so different and interesting. He put together perfectly. I’m super happy. When I played it for him, he was okay. I’m really, really happy.”

“Sinner” was produced and mixed by Barry Pointer To Riott House Studio in North Hollywood. The drums were designed by the ex-GUNS N ‘ROSES guitarist Gilby clarke To Redrum registration in Los Angeles. The LP also features a guest appearance by the original TO KISS drummer Pierre Criss on a cover of “Georgia on my mind”, a classic from the 1930s by Hoagy Carmichael and Stuart gorrell who became famous thanks to Ray charles decades later.

John 5, from his real name John william lowery, Recount WRIF In regards to Crissthe contribution of the song: “rock, of course, played Gene Krupa, he played the rich boyfriend, he played this style all his life. And so I said, ‘Hey, man I do “Georgia in my mind”. And he was, like, ‘I’d love to.’ It’s just what he’s done his whole life, played like that. So my producer, Barry Pointer, went to his house, and we set it up like an old ’40s kit – a few mics, not all the drums or anything. And I’m not exaggerating, he did two takes. And the first one was perfect. He said to me, ‘Well, let’s do a second one, just for safety.’ I mean, going down the stairs took longer than his epic performance on drums. It was unbelievable. And then there was magic. Before the song, rock talk to Barry – he talks about me and the song and all that. And we picked that up in the mics. And we asked rock if it was okay to start the song like that. And he said, ‘Of course.’ It is really awesome. It’s really super.”

A key objective is to strengthen the capacity of all elected officials and staff to engage in collaborative work with communities and indigenous peoples.

Artists who replaced themselves at number 1 of the official singles ranking

If you’re going to be hit by someone, it could as well be by someone you really care about – yourself! Squeezing your own work out of the top spot is a pretty rare occurrence on the official chart, but it does happen, albeit very, very rarely. But who managed it? We searched the archives.

Simple

The Beatles

W / E December 14, 1963

PREV POS TITLE ARTIST
ten 1 I WANT TO HOLD YOUR HAND BEATLES
1 2 SHE LOVES YOU BEATLES

1963 was the year the Beatles really hit their stride, clinching their top three of their 17 number 1s in total. Early orders for I Want To Hold Your Hand would have passed 1 million and debuted at the top on the day of its release, had it not been blocked by their first million She Loves You sellers. It doesn’t matter, though, as he climbed to number 1 the following week.

John lennon

PREV POS TITLE ARTIST
2 1 WOMEN JOHN LENNON
1 4 TO IMAGINE JOHN LENNON

In the months following his untimely death in December 1980, John Lennon’s music returned to the charts, with his iconic 1975 hit Imagine returning at number 1. The first single released after his death, Woman – an ode to his wife Yoko – replaced Imagine at the top in February.

Albums

Getting back to the top of the official album chart is slightly rarer, it only happens six times. In February 2016, David Bowie’s last studio album, Blackstar, was toppled over by his 2002 Best Of Bowie retrospective after his passing the previous month.

Before Bowie, Michael Jackson replaced himself at the top in July 2009, when his hit album Essential knocked No. 1 off pole after his death.

Going even further back in time, 35 years ago, the folk-rock artist Mike Oldfield achieved the feat in October 1974 with Tubular Bells / Hergest Ridge, while Bob Dylan scored two successive number 1s in May 1965 with Bringing It All Back Home and The Freewheelin ‘Bob Dylan.

Finally, the Beatles have returned to the top on no less than two occasions. The first was in December 1963 with With The Beatles and Please Please Me, and the second was almost exactly a year later with Beatles For Sale / A Hard Day’s Night.

Snail Mail announces second studio album Valentine shares contagious title track

Snail Mail – the solo project of indie-rock phenomenon Lindsey Jordan – has announced their second studio album, Valentine, and ushered in the news of his second extended effort with the record’s highly contagious title track.

Upon release, the 10-track album – due out November 5 via Matador – will follow Jordan’s acclaimed debut album of 2018, Lush.

Don’t be fooled by the first 60 seconds of Valentine. While Jordan makes a point of enticing listeners with quiet synth sounds, relaxed snare tubes, and lively electric guitar twangs, the track turns into an entirely different beast by the time the first chorus arrives.

Replacing clear guitars with pristine overloaded open chords and upbeat drum beat, the track transforms from a sweet pop ballad into a limitless indie-rock anthem that flexes both Jordan’s gnarled vocal hooks and the prowess of the guitar playing.

The track is accompanied by an outrageous and bloody period music video directed by Josh Coll – whose credits include Kississippi, The Wonder Years and Circa Survive – of which Jordan said: “It was so gratifying to concoct this video alongside of the brilliant Coll.

“Watching a few kinky images in my head metamorphose into this beautiful scenario and ultimately into a tangible visual has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.”

Calling the process of writing and recording the album itself “the deepest level of catharsis and therapy I have ever experienced in my life,” Jordan went on the Valentine label as his. child ”and said,“ I wanted to take as much time as possible with this record to make sure I was happy with every detail before I released it to all of you.

Valentine was written in 2019 and 2020 by Jordan, who also co-produced the album alongside Bon Iver and Waxahatchee producer Brad Cook.

Check Valentine list of songs below.

  1. Valentine
  2. Ben franklin

A Singles Stay: Gulf Weekly Online

By Naman Arora

Bahraini bards The Relocators take their fans and listeners on a singles journey, as they prepare for the release of their third EP, starting with Reasons.

In the upcoming Reasons, the three-person group have a relaxed, nonchalant and serene attitude towards the end of the world – an attitude they will continue throughout the EP.

“It’s a fun, funky song that demonstrates an attitude of being in an end-of-the-world storyline without feeling any attachment to the narrative, as we never played a part in that particular ‘movie’ so to speak,” 35-year-old Bahraini Faisal Amin, who sings and plays guitar in the band, said GulfWeekly.

Ali Alqaseer, 29, on drums and percussion, alongside Romeriko ‘Jojo’ Canlas, 43, on bass completes the band’s core trio.

In the four-minute ditty, Reasons, the band hums: “That’s it, we feel good / There’s nothing about you or me / As the sky is falling / I have reason to remember you / Never a part of what’s been playing / What the ending has to do with you and me / It’s okay to feel good / Because we made a damn good choice / It’s good to feel good / We have never been in the noise.

If the first single is any indication of the songs to come, it’s a much more funky sound than the band’s previous EP, Part of Me, released in 2019.

Reasons is also a natural progression from Part of Me, which featured a blend of motifs ranging from nature to spirituality with an underlying message of focusing on the bigger picture and finding the connection between one’s internal worlds and external.

“This EP comes from a grounded and detached attitude, but not listless,” Faisal explained. “We do what we can, pay our dues and relax. “

Annie Kennaugh, who supported the group on Part of Me, joins them for Reasons, alongside Maraam Abdulaal for backing vocals.

Sarah Redha, known on Instagram as The Monkey Grip, will also provide visuals for this album, continuing a long-standing partnership. Abdulla Jamal will record, mix and co-produce the songs.

The band plan to release singles every six weeks or so and are changing things up this time around with more improvisation in the studio.

They approach the still unnamed EP, in general, with a more deliberate “decisions on the fly” approach, while keeping the theme introspective and reflective.

The group was due to embark on a tour through the GCC after the release of Part of Me, but the Covid-19 pandemic ended those plans.

“We haven’t done any shows since the Part of Me EP launched in February of last year, but it really gave us time to focus on the backend,” Faisal said.

“We have worked on the structure of our operation, clarified where we are and where we plan to go. We’ve also worked hard to evolve our musicality and live performance, bringing together a whole bunch of ideas that will eventually come to fruition.

“In our personal lives there are things we do with a lot of passion, like supporting tree planting across the country, education and charity. We’ve kind of shied away from putting a lot of it in front of the audience through our group because we don’t want to use these things as marketing tools.

“But we are very convinced that we are not doing these things for personal / material gain and we are now planning to involve our supporters and our public more with this side of us and get them to join us.”
